Travel, Visa, and Excursion Information

1) Visa Information

For those requiring a visa to enter Kenya, the process has been simplified with the introduction of the Kenya Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) system. Below is a step-by-step guide to obtaining your eTA:
Procedure to Obtain a Kenya eTA:
Access the Official eTA Portal:
Visit the official Kenya eTA website: www.etakenya.go.ke.
Create an Account:
Register by providing your email address and creating a password.
Complete the Application Form:
Provide personal information, passport details, and your travel itinerary.
Upload Necessary Documents:
A recent passport-sized photograph.
A scanned copy of your passport's biographical page.
Additional documents like hotel reservations or invitation letters ( this will be provided to all those who register for the conference).
Pay the eTA Fee:
The standard fee is USD 32.50, payable via Visa or Mastercard.
Submit the Application:
Review all details for accuracy before submission.
Await Approval:
Processing takes up to 72 hours. Once approved, your eTA will be sent to your registered email.
Print the eTA:
Print a copy to present upon arrival in Kenya.
Important Considerations:
Timing: Apply at least 72 hours before departure to ensure timely processing.
Validity: The eTA is valid for single entry and allows a stay of up to 90 days.
Passport Requirements: Your passport must be valid for at least six months from the arrival date and have at least two blank pages.
Health Documentation: A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required if traveling from a yellow fever risk area.
